FAQs

who are your teachers?

I have had many teachers over the years. Of late, I am deeply influenced by the breath, the earth, my son and partner, Travis Wanner and my sangha.

While I have been gobbling up Zach Bush, Charles Eisenstein, Joshua Shrei of the Emerald Podcast, Vandana Shiva, Bayo Akomolafe, and Sophie Strand, the loudest voices in my sphere are the 3 acres that I steward and all her inhabitants.

The Relational Somatics sangha is born out of my learnings from Peter Levine, Saj Razvi, Majia Jade and Robin Temple.

ARe you a licensed therapist

I have been a licensed therapist for 18 years. I have decided not to renew my license for a myriad of reasons. Most notably, the model is no longer sustainable for me. See the About section to learn more.

What is your fee

My fee is $200/60 minutes of individual work (unless you are already working with me) and $400 for a 2 hour medicine sessions and $100/60 minutes of group work. As the funds in the Community Care Fund increase, I will be able to have a sliding scale.

The Breathwork offering does have a generous sliding scale.

What training do you have?

I have advanced training in yoga and yoga therapy. I was credentialed as a yoga therapist but have since let that credential go. I completed the Somatic Experiencing training in 2015 and Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy in 2023. I have trained with Kathy Kain, Steve Terrell, Tara Brach, and Raja Selvam and many, many others over the 20 years I have been in the field.

DO you do trauma therapy

I no longer provide therapy. My work centers around liberation from colonial/supremacy culture and the myth of separation. I do not see the individual as separate from their environment…EVER.

I will not be a good fit if you are a committed to a lens that doesn’t take into account your early experiences/cultural conditioning and ancestral patterns as a part of who you are and impacting everything.

I do liberation work not trauma work, though, the work I do does intersect with trauma (there is no way around that) the orientation is different because my lens is spiritual.

If you are looking for a trauma therapist, I recommend using the Trauma Therapist Network to find the right fit.

Please take note of my cancellation policy. I need 48 hours notice for cancellation of 60 minute sessions and 72 for 2 hour sessions. This applies even the case of illness. I charge my full fee. I book the time just for you and it is a loss for me if I can’t fill the time.
