Therapeutic Thai Yoga is a fusion of yoga, swedish massage, accupressure and energy work. I draw from these schools to create a fluid, deep rhythmic dance that gently lubricates joints, stretches muscles and moves energy. The end result is a deeply relaxed state and a restored
energetic balance.

The treatment is never painful. Applied on a mat fully clothed, Therapeutic Thai Yoga is like passive yoga. Attention is focused on the breath while your limits are met with a gentle curiosity that invites you to let go.

Each session is modified to suit your particular needs and body type.

Our hectic, stress-filled culture leaves us disconnected from our bodies and our selves. Give yourself the gift of Therapeutic Thai Yoga -- a deep, meditative experience that will help you drop in to what is and become embodied.

Alicia Barmon CYT, MA.

Alicia has been studying yoga for over 10 years. In 2003, she became certified in Kripalu yoga. Her yoga practice emphasizes the importance of articulating postures, and by extension ourselves, with integrity and gentleness. Through her work as a psychotherapist, she understands the effects of habituated tension in the body and how this tension manifests its’ self as anxiety, depression, addiction, and a myriad of other physical and emotional ailments. Through Thai Yoga she integrates her knowledge of massage, yoga and energy work as a healing modality. She has studied Thai bodywork with Ken Nelson and Jonas Westring and continues to draw from Qigong, Vipassana and yogic traditions as she develops her own style. She sees Thai Yoga as an opportunity to discover what is happening in the body and to take the time to watch the mind with loving attention while allowing the body to let go of accumulated stress.
